1. I think of all the recent Whistle Blowers who DID 'come to us'

and had their lives destroyed, were charged with treason and lost everything they had.

No one in their right mind is going to go to this government to blow the whistle on wrong doing by people in power.

Maybe DiFi forgets that this government has chosen to ignore war crimes, see Chelsea Manning, and stated clearly that there will be no investigations, let alone prosecutions, of War Criminals, of Wall St Criminals.

She is wasting her breath trying to convince people that any Whistle Blower in the US today would be safe to go to this Government with evidence of wrong doing.

I have a list of names of people who went through all the legitimate steps to present evidence of wrong doing anytime she needs it. I KNOW those law abiding people have applauded Snowden for 'not making the mistake they could safely produce their evidence to the US Government.

She is full of it and SHE knows it, and unfortunately for her, so do we.

3. The proper channels for whistleblowing are absolutely worthless.

They make sense on paper, but in practice, they're essentially worthless.

We wouldn't have mass disclosures like Snowden or Manning if the oversight committees and independent inspectors actually changed things internally.

To no avail.

If Wydens hands were tied why the hell should Snowden think DiFi would be any help?

Besides whistleblowers are treated hideously by this Dem admin. There's noone to trust there

5. Generally speaking the higher up you go, the more wedded you are to the system.

Which makes changing a corrupted system all the more difficult when taken through (normal channels,) some things need to be brought directly to the American People; supposedly the ultimate watchdog of government.

Thanks for the thread, RandySF.

6. Why am I reminded of that Monty Python sketch

with "Sir Jane Russell," the leader of a British Navy expedition to Lake Pahoe?

"All new ratings (recruits) are warned that if they wake up in the morning and find any toothmarks at all, anywhere on their bodies, they are to tell me immediately, so that I can immediately take every measure... to hush the whole thing up".
