Bass Reeves. This is a website I came across and thought you all would be interested in.

As a recovering wild west fanatic,i had heard of Reeves Bass and had a suspicion as to who he was.
Thank You for this post,i was amazed and delighted to find this.
My Brother in Law got me started down this path,he had studied Journalism at University of Ohio and moved to Arizona then took a job in Amarillo at the Globe News.
He nominated Herb Jeffries for induction into the Cowboy Hall of Fame and finally after an effort of many years,Jeffries is now a member.
There is a lot of good video about this very talented man on YouTube.

a couple of years back, there was an OP about a trove of old films with black casts made in the 30's and 40's ... "bronze" featured in many of the titles. The prints had just been saved from destruction, IIRC.

This guy is an Awesome Legend.
Basically have been trying to pitch a screenplay and using Michael Jai White as this guy.
