Which ever one it is (I favor Hillary at this point) who should she choose as her VP running mate?
Hillary/Elizabeth (or vice versa) would make a good team. However, I don't think that politically speaking, neither would have a chance at the polls. Men would vote for either one, but I think having both women in the running would stop a lot of men from wanting TWO WOMEN in the White House at the same time?
Your thoughts?

(53,475 posts)I'll vote for Hillary if she's our candidate, but certainly not in any primary. Hard to imagine a worse candidate to represent our side.

(46,179 posts)I hope for a broad range of primary choices; if those were the only 2 choices, I'd be with Warren.
I don't really care WHO it is. I care WHAT they stand for. I want a no-nonsense, left-of-center, non-neoliberal brawler who knows how to stand her ground against corporate corruption and greed, who knows how to fight for substantive gains for social and economic justice.

(40,416 posts)Hillary has not decided one way or another.
And it's three freaking years until the election!
So maybe it's time that this artificial, and already falsified, dichotomy be laid to rest.
Plus, it's silly.
2014 is one year away. Isn't it time to start working on taking back the House? Only then, should we start worrying about 2016. It is very possible that Ms. Clinton will not run. Then, what will people do? Run around with their hair on fire? I won't be doing that. But then I am not living in a dream world.
Sorry for the snark.

(5,455 posts)I expect the nominee for BOTH parties to be a state governor or former state governor. Historically it is very rare for a sitting Senator to be elected to the White House (only Harding, JFK and Obama since 1900) or a Secretary (Hoover & Taft).
Additionally I think voters are going to view age as a criteria and will want someone who won't be in their late 60's when they run and into their 70's before the end of their first term.
