The GOP doesn't nominate its most conservative candidates. Romney, McCain, Bush, Dole, Papa Bush -- all of them were less conservative than most of their primary opponents. And every time they loose, the Freep wing pisses and moans and vows that that's the last time they nominate a RINO. And fours years later, it happens again. That's why Christie's a likely pick.

Unless the GOP is able to shed the tea-partiers and the religious nutjobs that make up their base, he has a slim chance of getting the nomination because he palled around with Obama (pisses off the tea-partiers), and he's seen as giving up the fight against gay marriage by the religious nutjobs. If he enters the primaries, he's going to be every other candidate's whipping boy.

So anything could happen. But, we might be ready for a change from the Ted Cruz/Christie and others who would just be more of the same of what the people of this country have been through for three decades.

Just my opinion and observation as long time Dem Voter.

11. Huntsman would be dangerous. He actually talks policy and not just rhetoric.

I agree with you. Just saying, "We're better than that crazy guy over there." won't work if the landscape changes. And although I would hate to see democrats facing a Huntsman I sure do wish democrats would quit sitting on their hands saying "We're better than that crazy guy over there." Democrats will actually have to work on legislation such as wages, unions, education, SS.

People are sick and tired of More Of The Same. And that is what she represents.

Christie because he's not rabid enough.
Clinton because I think she's going to end up not running.

It is a political eternity. Regardless my local mayoral race is far more important to me than the Presidency. I mean the election is on the 19th of this month, and I am betting on a run off. So I know where I will be that night.

Then there are all these races, including boards, city councils, judgeships, legislature, state senate, house and senate in 2014. They matter far more than a distant presidential race and perception control

Sorry to throw water into this.
