(5,739 posts)We have a coalition of progressive voters from every races and we need every single one of them to win. That is what makes us so different from the republicans.

(45,480 posts)This OP is intended to diminish McAuliffe's win and bash white women in VA. Truly pukeworthy.

(20,277 posts)I think it's a huge mistake for Dems to assume that women aren't repubs or tea baggers.
I'm glad I didn't have to vote in VA. I would have to vote for McAuliffe, but he's far from a stellar candidate.
From the few pictures of tea bag rallies, the attendees are mostly white men and women.

(45,480 posts)Saying that Cuccinelli lost because only minorities supported McAuliffe is a right wing tactic intended to dismiss Democratic wins.

(20,277 posts)I'm not up on rw tactics. What's the point of 'dismiss Democratic wins'. Seriously, who cares if they dismiss it or not. It's a fact - they lost. They can dismiss it til the cows come home.
Around here, simple disagreement gets called rw tactics sometimes.

(1,439 posts)Since they voted for McAuliffe for essentially identical % as black women (90%/91%).

This is all very stupid. The R had 6% more support from men than women and the D had 6% more in the other direction. And that's fairly typical.
The most interesting thing about that the exit polling is that 15% of the under 30s voted for the libertarian. That seems very high and all the other age groups were at about 6% for the libertarian.
