Everyone hates a pedophile

One of the interesting little facts I've posted before is my experience when I was working as a security guard in California. I had decided to increase my pay by increasing my abilities regarding licensing. I went and was trained in how to use a baton, or nightstick. The fact I mentioned before I'll repeat here. The trainer, a police officer, said that if we ever had to use the baton, and there were witnesses, mention to the witnesses that the person we beat was a child molester. That would change the events in the minds of the witnesses from mean man beats poor victim with nightstick to bastard got what was coming to him.

You see, if people know the extent of our illegal spying, we can't catch child molesters, and everyone wants them caught. It is beyond the pale, and a lie from my past resurrected. Everyone upset about spying, just relax, we're doing it to catch child molesters, and everyone hates them right? Everyone wants them caught, so Snowden is making it harder, so forgive us for spying on you, we're doing it for a good reason, to catch Child Molesters!

Three cheers for the spying right? NOT. It is a blatant lie, and anyone with a modicum of sense will see it as a routine lie trotted out to justify the illegal, immoral, and indefensible actions of both Britain's GCHQ and the US NSA.

Thanks for posting this, Savannahmann. It's a shame that many will come now come running to post insinuations that anyone who objects to surveillance is now a pedophile, just as they imply we're racists for demanding accountability from an out of control agency.

Indeed, many are willing to give it all away if they think it will stop one pedophile.
