tiny economic headline on NBC news business webpage....real tiny...should be HUGE

Economy grows at faster pace than expected during the summer

The U.S. economy expanded at a 2.8 percent annual rate from July through September, a surprising sign of strength ahead of the 16-day partial government shutdown.

Exports rose, businesses stocked up, home construction increased and state and local governments spent at the fastest pace in four years.

The Commerce Department says growth increased from a 2.5 percent annual rate in the April-June period to the fastest pace in a year.

Consumers stepped up spending on goods. But overall spending weakened from the second quarter because service spending was essentially flat, in part because of a cooler summer that lowered utility spending.

and would be if this was someone other than a black man in the oval office who so happens to be one hell of a good person, not to mention a fine President to boot.

I'm convinced a lot of it is racism too. sorry but thats the way I see it.

and was really surprised myself given all the hand-wringing leading up to the announcement basically aimed at painting the U.S. economy as collapsed. I expect they will revise this figure in later months but this is not what they want to hear because they still want America to fail.

The delayed October unemployment rate is due out tomorrow so they still have time for meltdown headlines tomorrow morning, as needed (however they plan to manufacture them).
