Talk show host delivers DNA test results to white supremacist : ‘You have a little black in you"

EXCLUSIVE: Watch the moment white supremacist trying to take over North Dakota town refuses to fist bump black host after she tells him he is 14 per cent African

Hate crimes fugitive Craig Cobb confronted with result of genetic heritage test on The Trisha Show
Rejects DNA results which prove he is 14 per cent Sub-Saharan African as 'statistical noise' and 'short science'

'Pure evil' Cobb, 62, has quietly bought up land in Leith, N.D, to turn it into a white enclave

Cobb and his followers say they are not racist but 'racially aware'

Says racially offensive terms are 'holy words' laid out in the 'White Man's Bible'

Leith's only black resident says things are 'only going to get worse' as town runs out of legal options to halt Cobb's march

Noah had 3 sons. Shem, from whom the fundies claim the Semitic race comes from; Japheth from whom the white race comes from and Ham, from whom the black race comes from. They get all "technical" with which sons of these 3 the various civilizations are descended. See http://www.freemaninstitute.com/RTGham.htm for the theory in all its technicolor glory.

This would have occurred recently in the last 10000 years and is clearly found in the British Isles. White Anglo-Saxon history is a myth and the genetic markers left by our ancestors do not lie. Anyone who wants to prove imaginary racial purity from a modern DNA test is ignorant. Starting in Africa we are all immigrants many times over.

Any critter that can walk at 5 kph and can walk for more than 8 hours on a 1500-2000 calorie diet that can be met by omnivorous habits is going to spread all over the place. And all over the place means all over most places...the potential capacity to walk up down and across most continents in half a year is pretty impressive.

Being the clever kind of ape that we are (capable of acquiring, storing and transporting resource surplus, -and- ourselves) many of the barriers to dispersal of other 'land-dwelling animals" aren't impassible. Rivers, sea shores and sea narrows, mountains, glaciers and dessert might slow and channel the path, but wouldn't stop human migration.

Communication between human populations seems to have been much broader than popular street knowledge considers possible.

If they used a company like 23&Me, I'm not sure how it counts remote ancestors. My husband and I did it and he had virtually zero sub-Saharan African while I had 3 point something percent, which I think was a great-great-great grandparent. We also both had some percentage of Neanderthal. Maybe six percent? I can't remember but it was the typical percentage for people of mostly European ancestry. That's another funny thing - for all that white supremacists like to claim that whites are more evolved than blacks, whites are the one walking around with a bunch of neanderthal genes. Well, maybe that's a little simplistic or misleading but it's still funny.

It's nice to know that the species isn't really extinct, per se. It lives on in us, and we are them to some small extent.

Personally, I'd be thrilled to find that I'm 14% sub-Saharan. Or anything else, for that matter.

The old Hun charge regarding Germanic ancestry has some validity. My Grandfathers' family frequently has children with a red rash or birthmark at the base of the spine which goes away. It causes some alarm and my son had this red mark. My Grandfather's family included family who were Swiss, my understanding this is common in Switzerland and Mongolia. As to the DNA test I understand they look for specific genetic markers and have not completely figured out the time factor involved.

I clashed hard back in the 1990's with a Professor and other students who liked the "Bell Curve" thesis, modern genetics has made that argument irrelevant.

...some of us turned left instead of going straight and split off from the main flow of the tribes. Most of us settled in Europe. Some spread out through Siberia, and there's been some discussion over whether or not we made it as far as Japan.

We who would eventually become what are commonly known as Caucasians got isolated from the main flow of humanity, and we compensated by developing our own languages, cultures, and societies. A few of us even let this isolation go to our heads.

And one of those unfortunate few just got himself a nice little reality check.

Welcome back to the family.

This guy's vaunted Cro-Magnon ancestors would have looked far more like a native New Guinean or Australian than like anyone living in Europe or the United States today.

http://www.plosgenetics.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pgen.1003912

Skin pigmentation is one of the most variable phenotypic traits in humans. A non-synonymous substitution (rs1426654) in the third exon of SLC24A5 accounts for lighter skin in Europeans but not in East Asians. . . . Sequencing 11.74 kb of SLC24A5 in 95 individuals worldwide reveals that the rs1426654-A alleles in South Asian and West Eurasian populations are monophyletic and occur on the background of a common haplotype that is characterized by low genetic diversity. We date the coalescence of the light skin associated allele at 22–28 KYA. Both our sequence and genome-wide genotype data confirm that this gene has been a target for positive selection among Europeans.
