My mammoth Veterans Day parade adventure

As I posted in this thread http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024016147, I was invited to march with two different groups today in the parade that doubles the size of this town every year. I chose the Veterans for Peace, and after 187 entries had passed by, mostly flag-waving and freedom-mongering, most people were ready for old guys flashing the peace sign. We handed out thousands of little flyers explaining the history of Armistice Day, which is what this is really about, and on the back is a tally of what these wars have cost and which corporations have gained.

The previous thread sank like chunk of Depleted Uranium, but I wanted to post an update and wish all DU a sober Armistice Day.
