She was right behind me and I turned around and there she was and it said "holy cow! Stephanie Miller! I adore you!" She was super cool, asked my name and shook my hand and I said "wait till i
tell the gang at Democratic Underground" to which she laughed heartily!
See the universe always gives and takes. Tortured by Fox News for a couple of days, then I get to meet one of my heros face to face!

(306 posts)I always watched her and bill press. I refuse to watch morning joe.
Someday I will find her. I'm watching the Ed show and will catch Rachel
this a.m. Those are my favorites. Bashir and lawrence are close.
It gets pretty repetivive. I am enjoying my social security and VA.
The tv is always in the background as is DU.
I think I'll have one more cold one!

(75,480 posts)talking about Free Speech TV, that she was going to be joining the lineup. I'm so happy. I haven't been able to hear her show since Current TV sold out because I live in a media desert where Limbaugh and Beck and their sycophants are all that's available. Now if Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy get a venue, my life will be worth living.

(75,480 posts)the shows to listen to at a later time. I can't afford to pay for podcasts. I can record though on Free Speech TV.
Well, hang in there. Bill Press is over there for two hours in the morning. I never used to like him much, but he has grown on me since he was on Current and now on FreeSpeechTV. I sit here and laugh right along with him and his guys every morning. Randi Rhodes will never go to FreeSpeechTV, and don't know about Mike Malloy. Mike's probably a bit "out there" for live TV? I love him and have been listening to him for eons, like at least 10-15 years. (Who's counting?) Keep on DVRing/taping and watching.

(5,141 posts)I waited for her off the plane--she was 2 rows behind--and I said "I promise I'm not a stalker". I've worked in the music industry, film and a big auction house and I've met everyone. This makes the fifth person I've dorked out over--Bill Clinton, Sting, Sean Connery, Simon Schama (I did mention I was a history need, right?) and now her. Stephanie, Simon and Bill were so easy to talk to, and Sean was too (and ladies he's more sexy in person than you could imagine) but I was friends with his son so...

(5,141 posts)I know a lot of us here really love her, and ya know, when you're that damn awesome, you need to know that a bunch of people who may appear to be screen names love the crap outta her. She needs all that good stuff to cancel out the sickos who write her to tell her she's evil
