Face It we lost health care reform battle

Obama and senate Democrats are already caving by doing as Corporate and Bush loving Bill Clinton said, and underminding law.Who
knows what else they will cave to next. The MSM has been doing great job doing the tea party's bidding. What next joining republicans
In repealing it?

For years democrats wanted to reform health care and now they finally did it,and did a conservative version to get to 60 votes, they
are underminding it.Wasting all the effort and now underminding It.

With the MSM doom and gloom on Obama and ACA you have to wonder If they will give republicans cuts to bif 3 to keep government
open and to avoid default In january/February

What's worse Is now the public Is rewarding republicans by revering the lead democrats had In generic ballet. Now they want to reward
republicans for government shut down and near default.

If Dems don't cave to republicans In January/February the MSM may spin It as all Obama's fault, and public will believe it.

Face it due to public's short memory Republicans will easily retain control of House In 2014.And we are In danger of losing senate In 2014.In NC hagen poll numbers are already dropping. It may be same In all red states.

The ACA may not survive after Obama leaves off.The MSM Is doing all they can to push Chris Christie for president. And Hillary may join Bill In underminding it.

decision for them. Most will end up in the ACA. The change puts constraints on insurance companies, insuring that they must inform policyholders, no republican backed plan has that feature.

Because many insurance companies are pulling out of the individual market, or leaving states entirely. So the President announcing that he is going to fix it so you can keep your plan, will be portrayed as another lie. Then the news stories will not be the good intentions of the President, or the vision of President Obama. The news stories will be the habitual lies told by the President.

Prepare for months of negative news stories on the Democratic Party, and a big loss in 2014.

And two months from now, when the GOP tries to shut the govt down again, the Dems will lead the generic ballot.

The election is a year away. Things are going to swing wildly several times before then.

Relax. Let it play out. In a couple months when lots more have signed up through the exchanges, the web site issues will be a distant memory.

The people who foolishly hold on to their junk plans instead of buying better plans will be happy in their ignorance.... and a GOP talking point will have gone away.

All you have to ignore is the far more vast number of people who get insurance through their employers, but who could not do so before the ACA because they had a pre-existing condition. And all the kids who previously could not get on their parents' insurance for that same reason, but now are.

Just wrap yourself in a nice warm bubble and all the confusion goes away.

I envy people like that.

I wasn't alive back then, so I can't be sure...but, pretty confident that was the general feeling.

By '16 the bugs will (mostly) have been worked out. It will have started to become part of our everyday lives. Yes, still in it's infancy, but starting to sit up and smile.

I'm still just as confident as I was a year ago. Pissed off at some things, but I'm a much too patient person that knows things take time. Seldom does anything work perfectly at the start, take Windows for example...on second thought...don't. But, any working OS normally as a .xx after it. Patches come out, autofixes, etc. It would have been difficult to do a beta test on the ACA, if not impossible. Though the numbers were calculated, someone dropped the ball on efficiency. We can't stop the whining from the RW or the 1% that just may have to fork out some more cash for what is (hopefully) a better policy. I was none too pleased when I was forced to wear a seatbelt. Now, I wouldn't dream of going around the block without one after having the stupid thing save my life. I also wasn't thrilled when I was forced to get car insurance, until my 2 year old car was totaled by someone without insurance. People don't like to be told what to do, but eventually, I think most will appreciate the outcome.

So, buck up, bud...we'll get through this together.

Instead of Barack Obama and the House GOP agreeing that the law is the law and making it function for Americans, we get the sight of Obama appearing before the press corps and saying, more or less, "Goddamn, I'm sick of you motherfuckers whining about your shitty ass health insurance getting canceled because your provider is just a bunch of sick, greedy dickheads who would murder you where you sit if it would squeeze one more cent of profit out of your useless bodies. You wanna cling to your high deductible, low benefit policy for another year because you're scared that the black man president might be right and all that Fox 'news' noise might be wrong? Fine. Fuck it. Kiss my ass and keep your shit plan. Don't come whining to me when it turns out that your insurer drops your sorry ass when you get too sick for it. You asked to be grandfathered in, so lick grandpa's balls and tell me how tasty they are now. Now, can we please talk about the fact that Republicans want to kick over 100,000 people who just got insurance off it?"

The ACA isn't very good overall. It is very good for a small percentage of people. It further entrenches the for profit insurance industry. Everyday, health insurance in this country is made out as the joke it is. We have a very poor system. It is already a crisis. The ACA did not fundamentally fix the problems. As it gets worse, and ACA or no ACA it will get worse, the clear solution will be single payer. The failures of the health insurance industry and the ACA will allow us to continue forward towards a successful healthcare system.

My wife manages a true "small business." 10 people, not 50,000 as the government defines "small business." Connecticut is expensive anyway, but she has found that it makes much more sense to stop providing insurance to her employees. It is FAR cheaper for them to buy a policy off of the state exchange. So the company can offer them compensation to pay for the private exchange coverage instead of providing health insurance for the employees as a benefit. The trouble is in the tax ramifications.

Not that the system is good or works. I am a small business owner and am familiar with the workings of a small business. I am sure we have far fewer regulations in Florida than your wife in Connecticut. But acquiring healthcare is probably similar. The whole convoluted health insurance industry mixed with government requirements/regulations is a failing system.
