Why do people do that? It has painful consequences. My head is a perfect example of it.

(10,164 posts)I'm a very avid bicyclist, and I've come very close to being hit by idiots talking/texting on their mobiles way more times than I like to think about. I've actually been knocked off twice, but in neither case was a cell involved. Only a matter of time, I suspect...
If/when it does happen, they'd better make sure they kill me...or it will NOT end well for them.

(6,795 posts)It irritates the hell out of me. And I give him the hairy eyeball.
Not to mention the fact that he texts and has to look down through his lenses to see the phone.
Is any text that important?

Sometimes I just want to throw his phone into a ditch. He is attached to that stupid thing.
In the 3 months that we have been dating, I think I've heard him talk on the phone 4 times. The rest of the time it is texts. He's 48 years old. He's not a teenager. It drives me absolutely crazy.
I just hope he doesn't learn the hard way....
