That town is extremely vulnerable.

(599 posts)she lives just east of Crawfordsville. She said they had a big rain storm earlier, but no tornadoes. Now it is just a bit windy and looks like everything is moving away from them, and the sun came out. Their electricity is out at the moment though.

(4,959 posts)and all those arrows on the map you linked are pointed to right about where I am in SE Mich. I had hoped the whole thing would weaken by the time it got up here but it doesn't seem to be. And it is moving *fast*.
I hope everyone is safe, and my thoughts are with those being affected (in between my thoughts of panic about what we might see here in a couple hours).

(28,784 posts)spotted by emergency management. the sirens were going off but now they've stopped.
that was less than an hour ago.
the sun is out and the rain has stopped. the storm may be passing over and below... but 4 more hours to go, and the storm cells are separate, not one big thing (which would make wind worse but tornado threat less.)
