Bernie's on the joint budget committee

No, not a budget for joints, but the committee with both the House and Senate to reconcile the budget.

Anyway, he's been asking questions, and today's are here.

Budget Negotiations

A special House and Senate committee is trying to draft a budget. Which budget plan would you prefer? Would you prefer a budget that closes corporate tax loopholes and limits tax breaks for the wealthy OR would you prefer a budget that does not increase taxes on any American?*

Close tax loopholes and limit tax breaks for the wealthy

Don’t raise taxes on any American

Which approach would you prefer for dealing with $110 billion in automatic budget cuts known as the “sequester?” Would you prefer raising new revenue from big corporations and the wealthiest Americans to replace half of the cuts OR would you prefer to allow spending cuts to take effect?*

Reduce cuts and replace them with new taxes on the wealthy and profitable corporations

Allow spending cuts to take effect

Which is the better way to replace $110 billion in automatic spending cuts? Would you prefer to eliminate tax breaks for corporations and the wealthy OR would you prefer to see more cuts to Social Security and Medicare?*

Eliminate tax breaks for the wealthy and big corporations

Reduce spending on Social Security and Medicare in future years

All the answers were over 99% in favor of the gentler option.

that there is no joint budget, hooterhauler. I think that the J's should be given out freely. And to assure that every American can light up, I'm also an advocate for free hearth care.
