I volunteer at a shelter and food pantry a few days a month and I've noticed that there are lots of donations this time of year (which are really REALLY appreciated) but that after Christmas the donations fall off dramatically. Those shelves can get almost barren at times. It would be nice to remember that these pantries are truly needful year-round -- especially for fresh/frozen foods.
