Where the websites work, ObamaCare is doing just fine, which should tell you everything you need to know. It's tiresome to read all these stories about what a problem ObamaCare is, but this is a transient issue that will do no good to the Republicans going forward. They oppose the law so vociferously, precisely because they know that it will be politically impossible to gain any benefit from opposing subsidies that make health insurance affordable for millions of Americans. They are throwing everything they have at the law now in a desperate attempt to stop it, and it is working politically for them. Unfortunately for them, the elections are almost a year in the future. And they are hopelessly divided on every other political issue that is current in the country.
For all the sound and fury, we are still in "please proceed" mode.

(31,207 posts)Care Will Work"! Some people's nerves & temperaments aren't suited to following the day to day ups & downs of politics. We've seen some folks freaked out because of bad poll numbers. Anyone remember the shutdown? That was only a few weeks ago. It's old news now. "ObamaCare Will Work", and the media and other Obama haters will have to find a new doom & gloom scenario for the upcoming
midterms.
This too shall pass. And for all of you who get off on the daily frenzy of the sausage making in Washington. Lighten Up! Go Fishing! Make a Pumpkin Pie! Do something useful.

(34,648 posts)I always thought that after a period of instability things would smooth out. I never thought we'd get everybody covered within the first few years, let alone the first few months.
PS4 came out recently I think. I'm waiting to see if there are any bugs to be worked out before I buy it. It usually takes a few months to fix these things.
By summertime the other party won't want to discuss the website anymore. I won't be watching pundits drooling over the website problems every damn day.
When all the dust settles the law will remain intact. And then we can improve it by bankrupting insurance companies to get them out of the way.
