They have no intention of passing any type of immigration reform or anything else. They are putting all their eggs in the "Obamacare" basket. Democrats need to counter their attacks very vigorously.
More and more people are signing up for healthcare coverage. For the first time in their lives, they are not at the mercy of the insurance companies.
Democrats need to make it clear that we have no intention of going back to the old system. We will no longer permit insurance companies to cut off coverage on anyone just when they need it the most. We will no longer permit them to deny coverage to someone that has a pre-existing condition, like being a woman and getting pregnant.
So they can talk and rant until they turn blue in the face but we are going forward. Even if we have to cut the defense budget to pay for it, we will do what we have to do. Either they can work with us or they can continue to stand in background bellowing like goats.
This is the message we need to send to the Republican Party and all their followers that want to overturn the ACA and offer nothing to replace it. They will not succeed. We will stand on the side of the people - they can stand on the side of the insurance companies.
It is unfortunate but this is the tone we must take in this political environment. The Republicans have nothing to offer except obstruction. We will defeat them.

They were invested completely in health care failure when JAMA resisted national health insurance campaigns repeatedly.
They were invested completely in health care failure several administrations, T.R., Harry Truman, JFK and Bill Clinton.
The bottom line is that they don't mind sending 50,000 people, give or take a few thousand, to their deaths every year if they can preserve health care for profit and in a disorganized and chaotic state.
Alan Grayson has it right:
The Republican health care plan is this
1. don't get sick, and
2. if you do get sick, DIE QUICKLY.
In other words, don't inconvenience those who eat caviar and think nothing of the price.
