I have it on my DVR list.
The CT groupies will now whine about PBS and Frontline becoming "part of the conspiracy" in 3-2-1...

It's a lost cause.

(55,894 posts)The people who think Oswald did it all on his own are the one's with the
"Holy Book" --- the Warren Commission coverup.
It's good to not believe everything in that book. Heck, they are still hiding many pages of secrets from that time. Why? Why won't they tell you everything? Because it might destroy your faith, that's why.

(3,251 posts)JFK, Connally, etc. were at the wrong place at the wrong time. A lone nut with delusions of wanting to make an impact on history (which he did) was solely responsible.

(14,549 posts)attempts to recreate the shots, attempts to recreate a magic bullet shot and get a pristine bullet out, the Zapruder film, the testimony of 39 eyewitnesses who heard shots from the fence area, the testimony of John Connally, the testimony of Zapruder, the lack of fingerprints on the gun, the 3 Dallas cops who ALL agree they found a 7.5mm Mauser and specifically id'd the scope on it, the laws of physics, the laws of probability and everything else that puts even the smallest hole in their theory.
It is much harder to prove that Oswald acted alone than to prove otherwise. For the 'Lone Nut Theory' to be correct one needs to prove ALL of the following:
- the Magic Bullet theory
- Connally did not know when he was hit
- Zapruder was wrong about the direction of the shot
- 2 secret service agents were also wrong
- 39 eyewitnesses, Texan who know their gunfire, were also ALL wrong
- Oswald could move between the lunchroom on floor 2 and the sniper nest, without being seen, and he could get off the fatal head shot then wipe the gun clean of ALL of his fingerprints, get the powder burns off his cheek and hands and get back down to his bottle of Coca Cola without breaking a sweat or in any way looking guilty
- the pictures of Oswald with the 2 guns is not faked even though the top of his face is exactly the same in both pics and a montage-effect is noticeable
- the cops who pulled up to Oswald's rooming house at 1PM and honked twice has nothing to do with him
- the murder of Tippit is completely solved
- Oswald waited 7 minutes for a city bus after shooting JFK
- Oswald brought a gun into the TSBD the morning of the shooting, assembled it, got the scope right, built the sniper nest and was seen by no one doing these.
- many more items
For the WCR to be incorrect one need only prove any ONE of the following:
- shot(s) from anywhere other than the 6th floor nest in the TSBD
- more than one shooter or weapon involved
- the shots occurred too fast for one bolt action Carcano rifle
- Oswald didn't shoot at all (paraffin test results) or Oswald knows Ferrie, Ruby or Guy Banister

(13,685 posts)It took a concerted effort by a lot of the PTB to write the WCR bible. They couldn't do that today.
The PTB were desperate to get rid of their main opposition, the Kennedy's, and they pulled out all the stops. It is good to know at least 70 percent of us aren't true believers in their WCR bible. But sad that 30 percent are still faithful believers in that disproven and trashed bible written only to protect a few criminals.
They couldn't get away with it today.

(3,251 posts)They find this or that inconsistency or minor error and say, "SEE? This proves there was a coverup and conspiracy." The CT's start with a conclusion, and they disregard anything (which is almost everything having to do with the assassination) that undermines whatever pet theory they have or they try and shoehorn "evidence" to fit their preconceived ideas. They start with motive, and not with evidence. Many people may have had motive to kill JFK, but there is NO evidence that anybody other than Oswald did it or had anything to do with it.
Of course there is a lot of money to be made peddling bullshit conspiracy theories, thus proving P.T. Barnum right.
Slowly but surely people are finally accepting the truth, which was known the minute Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested. In another twenty or thirty years, the CT believers will be in the single digits as forensic technological advances make any belief in a conspiracy theory untenable.
Such beliefs will be right there with the flat-earthers and moon landing deniers. I already regard people who believe in conspiracy theories now as flat-earthers.

(55,894 posts)OH, no. the DU'er you linked to is addressing another documentary all together.
And again, the word that defines this phenomenon- IDEOLOGUE.
Only you have the one truth. No one else is allowed an opinion or they are but they are simply stupid or misguided.
duffyduff
(3,251 posts)change the truth.
It is what it is. You are entitled to your own opinion but not to your own facts.
There is NO evidence of a conspiracy. End of story.

(22,651 posts)collected well before! the shooting.
didn't realize eye witnesses of him dry shooting the gun for a couple months before the shooting. And the book buys a couple months before, the filming of road routes and buildings. Him having no money for all the travel. He planned the shooting, he did it and probably had some kind of pushes in that direction.

(3,251 posts)I have been watching numerous documentaries and news footage of the assassination from David Von Pein's YouTube channel and articles and video from CBS and the Dallas Morning News.
I plan to watch the CBS video stream of the historic footage Friday-Monday.
