Yeah, someplace north of 10 billion in various fines and restitutions are owing as a result of their mortgage shennanigans.
Oh Woe! What Do We Tell The Bonus Recipients?
Anyway, now it can be said that the Justice Department did something. Serious charges were leveled. Serious money will change hands by court order.
Whoope!
Weeeee!
But wait a sec. Before you celebrate with all that confetti, consider this:
Someone very high up, very big, in the JP Morgan Chase Kouncil of Biggest Kahunas gave the orders to commit what they *surely* knew were criminal acts. Others, nearly as big Big Kahunas as the leading Big Kahuna carried out those orders.
Not one Kahuna, not even some low rent, mid-level Kahuna, has his balls in a noose over any of this.
No one is going to jail.
No one.
No past bonuses are getting called in.
Nope.
No one is going to jail.
Well . . . . . there was that Stewart woman a few years back. The Justice Department sure as shit went after her, by gawd. No tolerance for such awful cheaters. Oh wait. That's right. She didn't steal from widows and orphans and poor people. She cheated . . . . a BIG BANK.
And maybe that's where this is all going.
Imagine the great HBO series: "Big Bank Theory".
Okay, I'll stop now.
Sorta.
Cuz this inane banter is what keeps me from being REALLY pissed at our good for nothing Justice Department.

Nah, they'll pay the fines with other peoples' money.
Prolly some of it will be YOUR money, one way or ta other.
