2. It Has Always Been Obvious But They Are More Way Over The Top Now..

The MSM seems even more frenzied and obvious now. When even 60 minutes looks like Fox the deterioration is so much more obvious. They jumped the shark recently. To see that program turn sour is hard to believe. They had been the best for years.

3. The good news is that the MSM

is making themselves less relevant all the time. Iirc, TV news viewership is down across the board, both network and cable. There will always be Faux Nooz viewers because Faux appeals to those who don't want to think but want to have someone reinforce them with self-affirming programming.

More and more people are going to online sources for their news. We at DU know that online sources, carefully screened and researched, are likely to be more reliable, more accurate in terms of fact-checking and less likely written to appeal to the Lowest Common Denominator. Additionally, we can choose the articles in which we are interested as opposed to some News Editor picking our news stories for us.

Give it time. Given that there are a lot of us old farts that have switched over from MSM to internet news sources, combined with the internet generation(s) that never warmed to the MSM in the first place, eventually MSM news will become all but obsolete.
