For those interested in where Rob Ford gets his support up here...

Not sure I agree entirely with the article, I think much of his support will evaporate if it ever comes to the polls but it still makes a good point. Income disparity has gotten scary over the last few decades. While living and growing up here in Vancouver I've seen it go from a beautiful city by the ocean to a very rich beautiful city by the ocean. And our famous downtown east side skid row here has only grown.

Remember that cost of living is higher up here too. Though universal health care DOES make a big difference.
