An Omahan's long wait for the return of a 1953 Triumph motorcycle came to an end Wednesday, nearly five decades after it was stolen from his backyard.

The motorcycle, a Tiger T 100, was returned from California via truck to Donald DeVault, 73, who got a good look at the bike for the first time in 46 years when it was delivered to McMullen Trucking in Carter Lake, Iowa.

“Well, I love it,'' DeVault said after spying the bike at a McMullen warehouse.

“Yeah, I think I'll put it in my living room,'' he said.

I think I'd look at it for a while instead of riding it since he has two others.

My trike is named The Beautiful Beast.
