Charles Manson: Gettin’ hitched in the pokey?

Everyone needs love. Even Charles Manson.

The 79-year-old convicted killer –  to put it mildly — who will spend the rest of his days inside California’s Corcoran State Prison has apparently found his soul mate while doing time in the big house.

Manson’s bride-to-be is a 25-year-old woman named Star — a single moniker Manson apparently bestowed upon her — who moved next to the prison six years ago to be closer to her beau. Star runs a website that calls for Manson’s release.

The love affair, detailed in a Rolling Stone magazine that hits newsstands Friday, paints a surreal portrait of a young woman swooned by one of America’s most infamous cult leaders.

Star recently carved an X into her forehead to match Manson’s famous engrave.

“Yeah, well, people can think I’m crazy,” she tells the magazine. “But they don’t know. This is what’s right for me. This is what I was born for.”

They'll probably never release Bobby Beausoleil, who, with a similar crime and no Manson connection alcibiades_mystery Nov 2013 #9

fascination some women, and men too probably, have with nutjob killers. Richard Ramirez had dozens of women visiting him and offering marriage proposals.

Seriously, what do you buy for a couple when one is incarcerated and the other is clearly as sharp as a bag of hair?

probably would have been released 20 years ago.

Leslie Van Houten has very little chance of ever living outside a prison.

Manson? He'll be dead in a few years. That's the only saving grace of this story. Perhaps this young woman can get her head out of her ass after Charlie kicks the bucket.
