Sen. Reid: 20 of 23 District Ct nominees blocked in last 4 years by Republicans.

I caught this from Sen. Reid's nuclear option speech this morning.

"Republicans have blocked 4 of 5 of Pres. Obama's nominations to DC circuit court, whereas Dems approved 4 of 6 of Pres Bush's nominations...................

Republicans last summer PROMISED they would end the unprecedented obstructionism. But they have continued the record of obstruction as if no agreement had been reached!

Republicans simply dont want to have Pres. Obama make any appointments at all to this court. NONE -ZERO!

Further, only 23 District Ct nominations have been filibustered in the entire history of our country. Ya know what? TWENTY of them have been in the last 4 and a half years. 230 plus years -THREE!----the last 4 and a half- TWENTY! That's not fair!"

He went on with his excellent rant saying that one nominee for the EPA has waited 900 days for confirmation. How do you get a transcript of the whole speech?

have done to this country...they don't even want to have judges.
Adequate numbers of judges are what makes the right to a speedy trial all about. Without them, people can't have a trial, a determination, and get on with their lives. They are left standing on one leg.
