And wants to ensure its not going to be the Dems.
Business as usual won't keep seats in this climate.

As possible because you never know what the future holds. The house will prove a major problem for Dems which is why there was no need to worry about taking away legislative filibuster. The house would reject any sensible legislation.

If, for some horrible reason, the Dems lose both houses in 2014, Obama is going to be a veto machine.

We absolutely must have good judges on our courts. The future will be dim and miserable if we don't. Too much is at stake. Hopefully, one of the repuke justices on the Supreme Court will need to be replaced during Obama's term and we'll get back our judicial sanity...

I've pretty much had "I'll believe it when I see it" set up as a macro so I didn't have to type the words everytime.

It's nice to see this.

I've never bought his mousy frail veneer for a moment, but in past I've
felt he often talked a tough talk, but then didn't follow through; especially
during the Bush nightmare.

But he also leads some shrinking violet Senators. He still needs 51 votes - and some of our Dems are DINOs for sure. So thank goodness for whatever had to take place to get to today - at least now the President has a chance to be President and enact his agenda.
