I was taken back by his strong disapproval of the change in the majority rule. Lots of things run through my mind going back to when he had a huge hand in having Michigan's primary early, in defiance of DNC's rules.
Sure, he voted against the war, but he didn't use a 10-day filibuster to defeat it.
He's spunky but he's going to make a friends in the Republican camp, to what end?
i am disappointed. He'll be sending more emails asking for contributions for the successor he wants to fill his seat. With today's action, the guy will be a shoe-in, even Reps will vote for him...

(111,237 posts)I sort of agree with Levin, the rule will be missed the next time the clowns take over Congress and the few sane people are struggling to stop the worst of their legislative excesses.
However, the rule was ruined by one man. One man is responsible for its loss: McConnell.
