New Jersey entered the Internet gambling industry Thursday night as soft play began across the state — sort of.

The launch was not without issues, as users encountered error messages in some cases informing them that they were not located in the state, even though they were well within New Jersey’s borders.

Others saw holdups as they tried to load money onto accounts, and some sites initially would not load at all.

Kyle Lockerd was able to access borgatapoker.com almost immediately, but more than two hours after the testing period began, he was still blocked from play. After sending in two forms of identification, the 29-year-old playing from Ventnor said he was told he was not located in New Jersey and could not participate.

SAN FRANCISCO November 22, 2013 (AP)

The San Francisco Bay Area's leading transit agency is reporting "major" system-wide delays because of technical problems linked to computer operations.

Company spokesman Jim Allison says the problem began early Friday, shortly after midnight, and affected 19 trains with 500 to 1,000 passengers.

By 3 a.m. PST, Allison said in an email to The Associated Press that there were still six trains still on the system working to get passengers to their destinations.

Allison blamed the problem on "computer systems in central control (that) are not communicating properly with the track switches."

He says train operators and track crews are instead manually maneuvering switches, which takes much more time.

What a Katrina-like disaster! They should just repeal it. This BART thing is never going to work.
