The Beatles White Album was released 45 years ago. The following post is a sort of tribute. As I listened I was struck with all the emotions I have attached to this day and though I might share with those who were there.

(146,255 posts)I never opened it. A couple of years ago, we had a minor money crisis, so I sold it on eBay. Unopened first release White Album on white vinyl covered our crisis just fine.
I remember thinking when I bought it that I should keep it intact and unopened and that it might have some higher value at some point. I guess I was right.

(12,409 posts)A while back I came across an unplayed original with photos etal. Not the white vinyl but still virgin.
May I ask how much yours was worth?

(146,255 posts)Mind you, it was sealed and unopened, and had the store price sticker on it, and I had the dated sales receipt and the orginal back from the record store, as well. I had stored it flat, in a sealed box for the entire time, so it was absolutely mint condition.
That's the only reason it brought that price.
