Coming to this conclusion after visiting Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum a few years ago.
However, I do not think the "conversation" needs to be shut down.
It does not bother me that there are those who are interested in the case and think there is something more.
It is not my right to tell others to move on. We all "move on" in our own time. One of the worst things I have ever heard in my life as a widow was,"it's so good to see you 'moving on.'" Most of us don't "move on." We just deal. In whatever way we see fit to do so.
Also, the History Channel is replaying (on and off all day) a retrospective of Kennedy family home movies going back to the 30s with personal insights from family friends that is really a great watch. It doesn't focus on just that day.

(17,862 posts)Why weren't the fragments recovered from Connally after his death. Given the House Select Report is the last official declaration on the assassination, it has to be viewed as an open homicide case. The Connally family wishes should have had no bearing on the decision. I think Oswald was the lone assassin as well, but we need to close the loop on the second bullet.
Why was Kennedy's Secret Service pulled from their normal location. It is chilling to view the video as the motorcade departs and the confusion of the agents as they are pulled away from their normal location riding behind the limo.
Why was the security on Oswald so shoddy. It almost appears that officers walking next to him turn away as Ruby jumps forward to shoot him.
I would like to see more work done with the Nix film and Moorman photo to assess whether someone was behind that fence. I don't see it. I can't believe that there are not more photos from that direction to be analyzed. I am pretty sure that the third shot came from the rear (Zupruder clearly shows jetting to the front and right side as I would expect) with no evidence of a simultaneous second shot. The fragments from the third shot forward of Kennedy in the limo also support this. Alvarez analyzed the muscle reactions of Zupruder to the gunshots, and he could only detect three

But to each their own. I don't think people should be pilloried for having differing points of view.

(16,844 posts)The most we'll ever get is a few more clues that will bolster some theories and make people abandon others. If Oswald carried it out and he was the only shooter that day, and I think that's entirely possible, I don't believe he did it for reasons of his own. I believe that whoever did the crime was acting at the behest of other people. I just can't imagine why any assassin would have done it strictly for their own personal reasons.
