the majority agrees with them. Is it any wonder when they rarely see the truth in the media?

So it airs.

Just because the word "news" is in their title doesn't mean the "news" has to be true or relevant. It just has to fit with their version of events otherwise it is hogwash made up by the liberal media to confuse the American people.

We need a newer updated version of a Fair Doctrine, and soon.

Is there anyway we can sue them? Class action lawsuit for inciting violence and hate crimes, along with mental pain and suffering caused by not just having to listen to the misrepresenting of facts and omitting the truth but the mental pain and suffering for having to deal with the relatives and friends that they have duped.

Because fox news really is causing me personal pain and suffering. Maybe I should call Morgan and Morgan and see if they can help.

they had to give the other side equal time.

made sense to me. in that environment a 'faux news' could not exist.

i think this is vital for a democracy.

The way to silence Fox and all other right wing mainstream media is to destroy their business model. Make public affairs news tax exempt like churches with the caveat that tax exempt news outlets devote 15% of content to peer review/rebuttal and they have no other business interests outside public affairs news.

Problem solved with no messy court battles.

That would be like admitting that they are in the business of pumping out the repuKKKe talking points and BS to their brain dead following. Honestly, trying to persuade teabaggers with facts and logic is a total waste of time.

Most of my older siblings suck up fox-nonsense as though it is the ONE LAST VESTIGE of truth in this country. They are convinced the "main-stream media" are all bought and paid for by this black socialist man in the White House, and nothing I can say is going to change their mind.

I'll admit, MSNBC isn't much better on the left at times...but that is "at times", not ALL THE TIME. I'd LOVE to watch a show called "Face Off", or some such silly name, where you have one pundit from the left, and one from the right, and they face off with discussing topics and rely on facts in the debate. Truth is a pretty tough thing to dispute, if facts are entered into the equation.

Sadly, my older sisters look at me and tell me point blank how they wouldn't miss sitting down in front of bill-o and vannity each night with their dinner plate, and lap up their daily dose of hate and BS. When I suggest they continue doing so, but add in a dose of NPR, or other sources of info, they will have no part of it. "Those damn left wing liars at NPR...blah, blah, blah." Hopeless.

I'm afraid we just have to let them die off. No hope what-so-ever; and I truly believe they are afraid someone is coming to take their nest egg and share it with the guy living under the bridge. After all, Christ really was a left-wing socialist; but they even cover that up with "doing their part" by dumping $10 in the collection basket each week, and figure that's their contribution to God...or whatever. So sad.

An abyss of ignorance and hatred like that needs to be circumvented lest it sees you and drags you into its maw.
