Along with Pres. Obama and Sec Kerry, much credit and thanks to the voters of Iran and Pres. Rouhani

This couldn't have happened had the people if Iran not stood and said enough. The pieces all came together with the timing of the leaders of the relevant countries.

Not at all to take away from President Obama and Sec. Kerry's work and success. We are all better off since they were at the helm when Rouhani became president. Kudos all around.

The Grand Ayatollah still calls the shots, and HE and his cadre of mullahs were aware how up shit creek they are due to tough sanctions. THEY made sure the conservative guy got through their idiotic process of vetting candidates as legitimate to stand for election, and it is a given that if such a moderate is on the ballot, the people will vote for him in droves.

and they were certainly not happy with the continuing privations they must suffer because of the government's refusal to back down and continuation of harsh sanctions affecting them.

or whoever. He did come out and ban the development of nuclear weapons ( http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jan/15/iran-ayatollah-khameneis-ban-nuclear-weapons-bindi/?page=all ), which was the first chink in their armor I saw. Let's just hope it all proceeds well, but the indications are definitely good.
