So I went looking for info on your claim that Putin submitted to the international community. But mostly I found stories of how the US administration submitted to the international community's calls against bombing Syria. And how the anti-war community; both here and abroad pressured the the administration into reversing gears regarding Syria.

Clearly Russia/Putin motives are suspect so one can't applaud their actions. At the same time, the US handling of it was, as Boerhlert calls it, a blunder. Not sure why one would want to celebrate a blunder.
