Back when I was in high school, there was a syndicated TV program called Fractured Flickers, produced by Jay Ward of Rocky & Bullwinkle fame and hosted by understated character actor Hans Conreid. I shamelessly co-opted the name of the program as a title to a series of Super 8 video interviews I conducted for a class project. When I lettered the poster that introduced my project, I became aware that the gap between the 'L' and the 'I' was negligible at a distance of more than a few feet. Quite a few people went out off their way in that gymnasium to come over and see what 'Fractured Fuckers' was all about.
