TransPacific Partnership coming attraction: Infinito Gold slaps Costa Rica with a $1 billion lawsuit

Infinito Gold, a Canadian mining company, just slapped Costa Rica with a $1 billion lawsuit simply because the country decided its rainforests were more important than an open-pit gold mine.

Bayer are suing the EU for loss of income due to the moratoriun on use of some pesticides thought to be causing bee deaths.

all FTAs have them. they all egregiously favor corporations. this is pretty common.
