Check in if you are on the East coast and are expected to get slammed with the snow storm.

Our area of western PA have been told to expect 8-10 inches.

My wife went to the store for one of her client today and she said it is bad when you have to shop around a holiday celebration like for Thanksgiving and it is bad when you have to shop when people are preparing to get slammed by a snowstorm. She said it was 10 times worse today. People are buying for both and shelves where bare.

My workplace has already told me to bring clothes they won't let me leave ( I work the night shift.) It may not be bad at the time I leave for home but they aren't taking the chance that I can't get back in.

I'm in Western Mass too, and that's exactly what I heard as well.

It's been windy for the better part of a week where I am, but the wind with rain forecast really scares me. Lots of shallow-root trees around my house and when there's wind AND rain, they tend to come down.

I don't get why every damn snowfall has to be hyped up to get people worked into a tizzy. For crying out loud, we have all seen and experienced snow before and will again. I grew up in the mountains of western PA and we just took big snow storms in stride and went about our lives. The snow will be gone in a day or two and everything will go back to normal. Just don't drive in the worst of it and you will be fine.

Cleaning out the supermarkets goes beyond being prepared, it's hysteria. Good grief.

I was going to Philadelphia for Thanksgiving to visit my friend, but I texted her to let her know I didn't think I was going to be able to go.

On top of this, my roommate is going in for surgery Wednesday to get a hernia fixed. IDK if I'm going to take him or if his son will. Fortunately, my car is front wheel drive and the forecast calls for a downpour--of rain. It's a bit easier to drive in pouring rain than in heavy snow.

Those of us on this side of the state will see mostly rain all day Wednesday. My daughter is heading to the Philly area for Thanksgiving dinner with her friends and family on Thursday morning. We're in the Pocono Mtns. in lower Luzerne Co.
