I was so certain that they were going to throw in some last minute resurrection by Stewie or something similar for continuity's sake, but alas. I really hope he's not gone for good. He was my favorite character on the show.

In the Venture Brothers, they killed off not only Race Bannon from Johnny Quest (he was a best buddy to Brock) but also one of the two "beloved" henchmen (#24) of the Monarch's.

We don't know much about Bannon's Intelligence background to begin with. The Venture Brothers just made that connection, possibly because the show is a parody of Jonny Quest.

Here's the character-blurb from Wikipedia:

Governmental fears that Jonny could "fall into the wrong hands" resulted in Bannon's assignment to guard and tutor him.[9] Race was born in Wilmette, Illinois, to John and Sarah Bannon.[10] He is an expert in judo, having a third-degree black belt as well as the ability to defeat noted experts in various martial arts, including sumo wrestlers.
