in the face of austerity, austerity, austerity is up to their asses with war and defense spending. You wanted to make sure that nobody gets food stamps? Fine, fuck you and your defense spending in your area, Congress.

You want to raise the age limit for Social Security that people paid into all of their lives? Hi, you make over 113,000 (175,000/a year, to be exact as a starting pay) a year in Congress, let's start by removing the cap. Oh wait, you might have to pay more in taxes yourselves. Holy Cow. I blame Republicans AND Democrats for that. Nobody in Congress needs to be dictating what people that get paid less than 113,000 a year contribute to Social Security when they make another person's salary more than that. Or TWO people's salaries that ARE contributing to Social Security.
