But that episode has survived longer than the rest. And you hear it every year in parts during the morning commute as the radio personalities have fun with it.

I still remember hearing it for the first time when it aired. Laughing decades later still.

I swore at a young age that they were going to get my father too with the way he used to yell at them about things to blow off steam.

I loved that show! Although my favorite show was when Johnny was having LSD flashbacks:
*Johnny staring at palm* "Have you ever noticed how the lines in your palm look like little highways with off-ramps and on-ramps..." Johnny Fever is the "old hippy" so everyone expects him to have done every drug at one time or another.

Their rival station WPIG creates a "pig" mascot which becomes popular. In response, Herb creates a Carp mascot for WKRP (KRP = "carp", get it?)

The pig mascot comes to WKRP HQ to confront their Carp mascot. There is a painter who has been been hired to repaint the main wall of WKRP but is currently on break. Left on his own as he was obviously "blown off" by WKRP staff, the PIG mascot sees the abandoned paint bucket, paint brush, and the unfinished wall and begins painting graffiti.

Johnny enters, sees a giant pig painting the wall, and starts staring at his palm (LSD flashback reference)

Random members of the WKRP then enter, see a giant pig painting the wall, and they immediately begin staring at their palms thinking they are having "flashbacks" of their own.

No words spoken, but they sold it. One of the funniest visual jokes I have ever seen!
