This really, REALLY irritates me to no end

Has ANY Democratic controlled state ever-ever-recalled their congressman/senator over their SUPPORT of a gun law. Here we have the rabid gun freaks recalling their elected state senators over their stand on gun control. COME ON COLORADO, you can do better than this!!! Note: I do not often use exclamation marks, here I am using three, so ashamed and angry am I.

"Hudak may have become the third state senator to face a recall over their gun control votes. Colorado Senate President John Morse (D) and state Sen. Angela Giron (D) were both voted out of office in September. "

1. Colorado Recall Was Primarily An Aryan Nation Event.

I spent over 45 hours on the front lines and it was obvious from the start that the petitioners were white supremacists. Everything about them stunk of racism, bigotry and anti Semitism. They are certifiable sociopaths. The guy taking sigs where I was was running around wild eyed yelling "We won the wicked witch is dead". I have never seen such evil even in Vietnam. And they are not finished yet. Rumors are that recalls will be continuous and even more aggressive and hateful.

You should have been at the press conference they tried to take over. Colorado politics is now more like civil war mode and not any kind of debate. To add to it 7 or 8 20 something survivalists showed up with their cami's on and their camouflaged swamp buggy seeking equal time. And they were very aggressive in pushing to try to take over the camera shots. It was not very pleasant.

One guy I just verbally accosted and eventually got to him. I eventually told him to hire a proctologist if he ever wanted to find his brain. I pummeled him ruthlessly for at least 5 minutes trying to back him off. These people are dripping with fierce hatred and are determined to rule. They should have worn white sheets and not green shirts. He was pushing to get behind our speakers. Some of my colleagues were mad because I spoke back to these bigots. You cannot be passive when you are being pushed. At some point you have to counter attack them.

The fact that they would likely get their sigs is really sick. The problem we had was a loophole in the law that would allow them over another month to get sigs had they been short of their goals. The law is like having a football game where they keep adding time to the 4th quarter until they win. So we probably found not stop the election we could not win.

The media would never report the fact that the previous two recalls were rigged. Mail in was prohibited and polling places were put where the recall had the most support. We have two crooks for our AG and Secretary of State. So we are in a hard position. And I ran into a little neocon cop who was really on their side at the end. So they could come over and abuse us and there was not a thing we could say.

The other issue not in this story was that they essentially had complete coverage of local hate radio with at least 6 talkers every day. We had no media of any kind on our side. They got essentially endless hours of free air time in many ways.

Be ready for a recall near you because that its their new election nullification idea. They can change seats with 10% of the vote even if your candidate won by a large margin. NO seat is safe anymore where recalls can be launched.

Besides their appearance and demeanor the most obvious revelation were the "Don't tread ..." and Libertarian flags that were flown at times. A guy with all this hate Evie stuff on his woodie came with a big sound system and played patriotic music and harassed our side with mean spirited verbage until the police ran him off. He was around for at least 4 hours though. He had a goatee and was so obviously a KKK type.

Honestly these people want to turn Colorado into North Carolina. We already have some red neck counties trying to secede from the state. Weld County Commissioners are no different than the KKK. They are part of the counties who want sovereignty. It is a sad new era in Colorado now. We can't just have elections then govern. Every Dem seat is in danger now no matter how big we win a district. And when you can recall someone with less then 15% of registered voters that is only about 2% of the total population you can rule from the extreme fringe. The new reality is continuous recalls until they get the seat.

Many of my fellow Dems may now be waking up but stiull take these zealots too lightly. They are determined and they are ultimately violent.

According to Colorado law, the Party from her district gets to choose her replacement, which means the Democratic Party will pick her replacement, and the recall is void as the seat is safe until the next election in November 2014.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/11/27/pro-gun-control-state-lawmaker-resigns-before-recall-deadline/

(CNN) - A Democratic, pro-gun control state senator who faced a potential recall in Colorado abruptly resigned Wednesday, less than a week before the recall petition was due.

It should have never come to the need to resign. They were close enough to get an extra 36 days to gather signatures that resigning was the best option at this point.
