I have so many things to be thankful for this year. I love my job. My wife is healthy and happy. My new home is a joy.



And Lola. And Lola. And Lola.

21. I'm going to attempt some kind of cheese sauce for my broccoli

I made my first sweet potato pie yesterday -- it looks a little lumpy and contains flecks of pulverized cinnamon sticks. Still haven't decided whether to bake or mash the potato.

it to see the kids and grandkid happy and in love with life. It was a wonderful evening.

8. I love Thanksgiving because it's the one time that my daughter and I

work well together in the kitchen. It is a glorious family time of the year and I love fall colors, putting them up in every common room in the house.

But I will tell you this Will Pitt, when you're the cook it takes a lot to shut out the number of stick of butters, sugar and eggs that go in those recipes.
