"Stores have to be open because internet sales are killing business." THat was the excuse I heard

from relatives going shopping today!

My wife and I just shook our heads and my wife went for a ride today in our town to see who was opened.

All the mom and pop stores small businesses where closed the only ones open where national chained stores where open you know the ones WITH websites as well that encourages you buy it on the web and we will send it to our store for you to pick it up!

I just don't buy the excuse and I'm waiting to see the day when Christmas Day is open so that people who don't like what they got in the morning can go in the afternoon to exchange those gifts and shop at 70% off.

Sorry I needed to vent.

But I'm deleting the emails today. Enough is enough. I do make a trip to the mall for chocolates and sometimes Disney store, and local Toys R Us, but that will not be today either. Stay warm!

Less than 5% of their sales represent independent sellers and stores.

parking lot attendants to collect from the parade audience,
grocery stores are open for a while longer,
many businesses are open and have been open on Thanksgiving for years.

And, of course, Amazon.com is open.

Many of those same businesses will be open Xmas day.

Was a car wash that was open.

I mean black Friday sales, gas stations, some grocery stores for awhile makes some sense. But who decides to wash the car on Thanksgiving Day?
