His comment at our Saturday morning coffee get together this morning after a couple of hours in line at the store, a "rain check" and then a couple of more hours online and eventually some time spent on the phone in order to straighten out the rain check; "I'll never do that again.".
With an effort I managed not to laugh too loud for too long.

(15,088 posts)The only thing I buy there anymore is test strips for my glucose meter--Walmart's brand costs $9, which is a good sight better than $50 or so for the "brand" name. Anyway, our local Walmart was practically empty at 11:00 on a Saturday morning, so apparently the Black Friday rush didn't last. Traffic was light at Target, too. In fact, the only place that seemed busy today was our local Mennonite bulk grocery.

Time with my family and time to be productive doing other stuff is worth vastly more than a $100 TV.
