Maduro says govt in Venezuela will stick key in light socket

President Nicolas Maduro said his leftist government will stick a key in a light socket to see what will happen.

Maduro, using a newly-acquired power to rule by decree, ordered in an address on state television that "light sockets have always been a source of curiosity, as have keys, and it is time to introduce the two via my hand."

Maduro had promised Sunday that he would decree new experiments to see what will happen, as part of the special powers conferred on him to combat corruption and so-called economic war. Also in apparent ignorance of how those things have gone for everyone else who's tried them.

He maintains a "parasitic bourgeoisie" and US interests are out to derail his desire to do things he's always wanted to do, like taste bleach, put out a grease fire with water, and toss a fork in a microwave.
