but this time I looked at the audience better.
The President came through so human and honest, but I think Matthews had nothing to do with it (too many "I's" for him, AS usual)...
It was a good interview because of the faces of the kids in the audience. There was affection and respect in all the faces I saw, male and female. They inspired him, not Matthews. And you could hear a pin drop throughtout the interview so intently were they paying attention. Obama needed that, and got it.
The kids did a nice job.

(24,096 posts)What you described, I think this is what makes Obama keep on going on. All the hateful pugs and baggers and miscellany will not deter him - he is working for those affectionate and respectful faces you saw and lets the rest of the ugly chatterers just slide on by. It bothers them so much that they can't hurt him. I like that.

(10,044 posts)but when Matthews kept quiet, and OBama kept talking, he was not flashy, he was humble.
The faces I talk about were shown as they panned the audience at the end of the interview. If he could see them through the whole time, no wonder he was so human. He is connected to the people.

President Obama is on our side if you are one of the 99 percentile as we are.
After listening to his speech yesterday and watching him tonight I have to say I'm proud of the three votes I've cast for him.
