Obamacare horror story, my next door neighbor lost his job a

couple years ago and was paying $850 a month for barely adequate health insurance plan the Union
got them. Monday he saw a navigator for Obamacare, next year he gets a silver plan for $800 and some
odd dollars a month. He declared $25000 in income and gets $600 and some dollars tax credit. So his premium
is $208, the Union is covering $200 of the premium through a VEBA plan, his final premium ($8.00). So there you have
a positive story for Obamacare and Unions. You know what is ironic he is a die hard Rethug.

Catholic women have a higher abortion rate than protestant women do. Catholic women have an abortion rate 29% higher than Protestant women.

One in five women having abortions are born-again or Evangelical Christians;

They use "artificial" birth control more, too.

Can anybody explain why they hate abortion and have lots of them?

53. I think for most it is just a matter of "team" membership. They belong
Sat Dec 7, 2013, 12:05 PM
Dec 2013

to a team, one they have "always" belonged to, quite probabably the one their parents/family/community members have always belonged to. Since it is their team, they must support them, no matter how lousy they play, and they must hate the opposing team and its fans, and no matter how much the opposing team earn their wins, the losing team's fans must believe their opponents could never have won fairly, so they must have cheated.

Whatever "their" team claims to be true MUST be true, whereas the opposing team's claims MUST be not only lies, but lies pushed with the most evil intent. That is why the Repubs and their base turned against science and truths supported by science. Repub legislators started out, for example, opposed to any action toward mitigating the impact of global warming merely because such efforts might cost their owner-donors money. But then they had to pretend that global warming wasn't that serious, or wasn't happening at all (and all those scientists must just be big fat liars playing for the other team), or else even if global warming is real, it isn't caused by human agency, so there is nothing we can do about it anyway.

The fact that liberals base their arguments on facts and evidence is sufficient reason for conservatives to reject facts and evidence, since anything favored by the opposing team MUST be rejected.

Liberals are not entirely free of such in-group/out group thinking, but research has shown that rigid adherence to demonstrably false beliefs despite incontrovertible evidence is far more characteristic of conservative minds in general, so it is no surprise that the party that embodies extreme conservatism is made up largely of people who cannot rise above the "my team, right or wrong" mindset.

So they justify ANYTHING they do with that, and yes, I do know some bible beating women who belong to the cult of the fetus, but when they got pregnant OR their daughters got pregnant, it was off to the out of town clinic...

Even liberal type friends told me they really liked reagan- about time someone stood up for regular people etc! Even guys like Neil Young sorta led the way for the Ted Nugents, and guys like Al Dershowitz made the chris mathews type explicable, but still...

They will not be able to stand that so called Liberals are getting all the breaks in Health care. Republicans are the fakest SOB's that ever been born. Don't you see them. Anytime they can get a photo op with the President they run to be next to him. They will call him every name in the book and then run to take pictures with him as soon the microphone closes. They say they hate him, but every time you turn around one of them rotten fucks writes a book to get rich off his name. They so cold they write about his mother to get rich. They rant against Government but are in Government enjoying the perks and tell the American people they can't have anything. And stupid repugs vote them right back in. Why would you put a person in Government who hates Government, dumbest shit I ever seen. They don't want to pay for a disaster like Hurricane Sandy or Joplin Missouri. but if something happens to their little red spot, they want immediate action. If they must choose between Snap benefits for low-income families or their Farm subsides, well Oh McDonald had a farm e I e I o

I've had some debate with a repuke from time to time but when they believe water's not wet, I get overwhelmed and don't know what to say.

Thinking back on a more recent example, I see that the Switch Rant is one of the tactics that gets me stuck. You can't address anything effectively when they jump from topic to topic.

I'm better when it's about women's health and opportunities or idiotic christofascist spewage about why it's ok for them to jihad on the rest of us, because I've got a broader understanding of those issues.

I don't watch smellovision either so I don't have the latest bullshit fresh in my mind--which is better for my health! lol!
