There's A Brewing Democratic Civil War, And Elizabeth Warren Is Leading The Charge

It only took a well-placed op-ed from an influential D.C. think tank to put the populist charge in Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

Last Tuesday, the president and senior vice president of Third Way, a centrist think tank, published an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal lambasting Warren's plan to expand Social Security as "Exhibit A" of "populist political and economic fantasy."

Warren's response? On Wednesday, she wrote a suggestive letter to bank CEOs "encouraging" them to voluntarily disclose their donations to think tanks.

It isn't a "civil war".... not anywhere near like what is going on between the Tea Party and the Establishment GOP.

It is the normal push and pull between two ends of the Democratic big tent to decide the direction of the party.

Sensationalistic headline from a typical shit-stirrer.

for not entering the presidential race but I hope she rethinks them and can change her mind.

Perhaps she believes that the compromises necessary to win the presidency would disarm her, and that may be correct, but, damn, I'd love to see her as chief executive of this country.

well, that is a whole lot more likely.

A diversion, a fair weather romp through the tall grass and wildflowers of populism, and then back to toeing the line for the elite, because, really we have no other place to go.

Considering that, one wonders why there is ever a plan to ever come back from the vacation?

destroy this nation if their ideas are ever heard".

We are at once, a leftist menace trying to impose Communism through the clever tactic of helping those unable to help themselves, we're also a comically helpless and insignificant fringe group with no influence whatsoever.

Do you suppose that any of them ever actually read what they write?
