Gov Chris acting like an old time ward boss, and the TeaBaggers love it.

Christie just making his bones with the TeaBaggers. If you think this will hurt him you don't know no'thin.

They watched McCain and Romney do the same thing and get their asses kicked by Obama, so they are convinced that only a wing nut campaign will succeed. Christie is already suspect in their eyes. If he tries to court centrists/moderates after being nominated the tea baggers will jump ship so fast he won't know what hit him.

OTOH, if he takes a hard line stance in the general election, he'll be fortunate to pull in 150 electoral votes. Americans may call themselves political moderates, but they like liberal policies.
