This Website Shows What Happens To Your Body When You Smoke

To create a successful digital anti-smoking campaign, the Cancer Society of Finland created a microsite that will quietly scare you into quitting. The microsite is called Tobacco Body, and in the words of creative director Erkki Izarra, it is “a bit of tech candy, more youthful language, and some shock value.” The thinking behind it was to give the youth something to think about when they face the unpleasant short-term effects of smoking. One of the most striking imagery is the difference between a smoker’s body and a non-smoker’s body.

I will be 75 next month and have been smoking since I was 16. I am still here and plan to be for at least another 5 years, I will die happy with a cigarette in my hand.

carcinogens in their body.

It doesn't affect everyone seemingly adversely because we're all so different in our body types. I'm just glad that after two years of smoking that shit in the '70s in NC.. that I stopped. So hard, but I did it.

I just started because I had read smoking kept one's hands busy and we wouldn't want to be snacking so much. Dumb move.

Turns out I could manage just fine without cigarette smoke filling my lungs.

thanks onehandle.
