My desktop died during an upgrade to Thunderbird. My PC is so old it runs on Windows 1929, the year of the crash. I'm on the laptop just to send this. I will be online very little I'm sure for the next few days.
Regards,
Omaha Steve

There is a computer support forum. This thread will probably end up locked as off topic. so xpost now before that happens.

Upgraded to Windows 1962 last year and my download speed increased by 10%. Best thing I ever did - just not sure how long Microsoft will support this version with upgrades.

Refurbished with warranties:

All my stuff is refubished and has lasted for years. Cheep! Cheep!

It runs on Windows XP (2002). An XP auto-update kicked while Thunderbird was updating. It scrambled a few things up. Once the Thunderbird update that was interrupted and stalled was allowed to finish, everything was fine.
