I'm watching "They Live" again, this time On Demand

This movie could have been made yesterday, instead of 25 years ago.

Frank: The steel mills were laying people off left and right. They finally went under. We gave the steel companies a break when they needed it. You know what they gave themselves? Raises.

because of a wrestler being the lead, but the premise makes you wonder. The rich are different than the rest, but in what ways?

4. A wrestler that was, surprisingly, devoid of suck. He's no De Niro, but I'm sure we could both list

I remember seeing They Live in the theater. I went on the strength of John Carpender's name alone. Thought it was one of the best movies I saw that year.. And so much of it is still prescient, The homeless camps, out of control cops, people joining the other side...

And that bass line in the soundtrack still plays in my head sometimes...

Another one not quite as good and unknown is 'Control Factor'' 2003 which
plays alone the same line but this time, the NSA is doing brain control on the general public for fun and games including mass shootings on individuals to manipulate the country.
